2016 TubaChristmas

There are those of you who can’t wait for your favorite radio station to start playing Christmas carols 24/7 and to start celebrating the Christmas season.

I’m not one of those people, BUT I do enjoy playing Christmas carols!

It’s Tubachristmas time again! For those of you who don’t know what this magical event is, imagine hundreds of low brass players (tuba, baritone, euphonium, and even some helicons, serpents, and other low brass instruments no longer in general use) gathering to play your favorite carols while you sing along. The best part is that it’s free for the audience!

I’m looking at playing up to three events this season:

  • December 10 – Akron (E.J. Thomas Hall)
  • December 17 – Wooster (Wooster High School)
  • December 18 – Lorain (Lorain Palace Theatre)

If you’re interested in playing with me, let me know and we’ll see about sharing transportation if possible. If you’re interested in watching (and singing), go to the Tubachristmas website for more information.
