DCP/DCW COVERAGE – 2018 Summer Music Games in Cincinnati

The 2018 Gadget Drum Corps Tour continues, heading to Southwest Ohio with the 2018 Drum Corps International Summer Music Games in Cincinnati! It all takes place at Dwire Field at Atrium Stadium on the campus of William Mason High School in Mason, Ohio, this Monday, June 25th! The fun begins at 7:00pm with Cincinnati Tradition performing at 7:15pm. I will be in the stands to provide my LIVE coverage of the show, featuring:

To Infinity (Cords) And Beyond! – UPDATED 6/2/12

One of the most memorable moments of the 2011 drum corps season came near the end of the Troopers’ performance of their show, “The Road Home”. Forming an infinity symbol, the brass struck a chord which seemed to go on for just that long, much to the delight of the fans in the stands. The moment was, fittingly, referred to as “The Infinity Chord”.

2011 Three Rivers Summer Music Games Review

I almost didn’t get my first live drum corps fix on Thursday night. The weather had been schizophrenic all day, alternating between significant rainfall and sunny skies. The weather report for Pittsburgh was not promising, either, as the radar showed possible storms hitting Baldwin High School’s Highlander Stadium at some point during the night’s performances. Fortunately, while there was a minor sprinkle during intermission, the show went off without a hitch, and the five corps were able to perform their full shows. Two of those corps, the Glassmen and the Boston Crusaders, were making their 2011 competitive debut at this show, so it was a great chance for me to get a first read on both of their shows, especially since I would see Glassmen again on Saturday at the DCI Western Michigan major show.
