The final regular season show of the 2018 DCI World Class season, and it’s my home show! This was also the only show this season where I was actually in the press box for the show, which made for a nice change since I wasn’t elbowing people on either side of me while typing or taking photos. The Massillon show is also a great show as it features many of the top 8 corps in World Class right before Indianapolis.
The 2017 drum corps season has started, and so has my show review season!
I reviewed two shows for the June edition of Drum Corps World. The first was the DCI Tour Premiere cinecast on Thursday, June 22. The focus of that review was on the technical aspects of the cinecast. A separate review of the performances is also in the June issue.
The second review was of the Innovations in Brass: Massillon show on Saturday, June 24. That review was a performance review of all 5 World Class and 2 SoundSport corps which performed that night.
You can find my cinecast review here.
You can find my Massillon show review here.

UPDATE: Photos I took during the Massillon show are located here. I’ve opened the album to allow you to add your photos as well!
Finally, the full digital edition of this month’s Drum Corps World can be found here.
My review of the 2016 DCI Tour of Champions Massillon drum corps competition is now published in the August 19th edition of Drum Corps World.

Join me LIVE from Paul Brown Tiger Stadium in Massillon, Ohio, as I provide updates, analysis, and photos as the show happens. My coverage will take place in the Drum Corps Planet discussion forums so watch this post as well as my social media accounts for the link on show day.
I am also writing the show review for Drum Corps World. This will be a more polished run down of the performances from the night and will be published in one of the August 2016 editions of Drum Corps World.
